  • Canadian Grand Prix 2025 radio station: Channel, live stream to listen to Formula 1 race

This weekend the Formula 1 circus rolls into Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix;  an exciting prospect for McLaren’s formidable duo of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris as they look to press their claims on the 2025 championship.

The British squad is on fire at the moment and has dominated, winning seven of the nine races thus far and with a fearsome 362 points, while Ferrari are in the rear mirror with a meager 165 points.

The attention will be squarely on the intra-rivalry that is evolving in the McLaren garage. Piastri currently leads the drivers’ title with just a ten-point gap to Norris, setting the scene for what could be an accelerating internal battle as the final race for the title heats up.

To compound McLaren’s momentous place in F1, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has an intriguing weekend ahead if he is to fight off McLaren from closing the points gap. As the reigning World Champion, Verstappen is attempting to win his fourth successive race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

A further layer of complication will be added to Verstappen’s weekend; to keep pace with the championship from McLaren, he will need a decent result whilst paying particular attention to the penalty points he has accrued so far in 2023 – another penalty might see him handed an automatic race ban as per the new rules. All eyes will be on Verstappen in Montreal.
