The New York Giants are somehow still No. 1 in the NFC East going into Week 9 of the NFL season. They’re 6-2, and that puts them at the top of the pack in their division.

Head coach John Harbaugh has worked wonders with this team, and he’s even done it without franchise quarterback Jaxson Dart, since Dart has been on the sidelines with a season-ending injury.

Harbaugh is already having success with the Giants, but a splashy trade could help his case even more. The NFL trade deadline is hitting on Nov. 10, and now is the time that teams are making decisions about what changes to make.

Now, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano have released a piece with some of the newest talk around the NFL ahead of the trade deadline. For the Giants, Fowler suggests some potential moves.

New York Giants linked to Jonathan Taylor and Vita Vea ahead of trade deadline

In the piece, Fowler links the Giants to Vita Vea, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ defensive tackle.

“Could that home be New York? While the Giants have been linked to (Jonathan) Taylor and other running backs, defensive tackle might be the spot where they look to add,” he states.

He adds, “They inquired multiple times on Jeffery Simmons but were told no by Tennessee. Another player on the Giants’ radar is Tampa Bay’s Vita Vea. (The Bucs are not expected to move him.) It would be a mild surprise if New York doesn’t walk away with some help up front.”

So, don’t be shocked if you see Harbaugh and the Giants make a move before Nov. 10.
