A hockey legend will take the ice in Pittsburgh one final time this weekend.
Marc-Andre Fleury — a three-time Stanley Cup champion and decorated goaltender who spent 13 seasons with the Penguins — will play one last exhibition game with Pittsburgh on Saturday night. Fleury, 40, officially retired from the NHL in May, after playing last season with the Wild.
The No. 1 overall pick by the Penguins in 2003, Fleury comfortably lived up to expectations. A four-time All-Star, he holds most major goaltending records in Pittsburgh franchise history, entrenching himself as a fan favorite, too.
Now, Penguins fans have the opportunity to watch Fleury one final time, and appropriately send him off into the sunset.
