The New Orleans Saints are not having a great 2026 season so far, but thanks to a weak NFC South, they still have a very real chance of making the playoffs.
To do so, the Saints’ offense really needs to step up. While the running game is still a big question mark, the Saints might be getting Jordyn Tyson back for Week 9.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Tyson’s odds of suiting up in Week 9 against the Cleveland Browns have increased significantly, with the plan being that Tyson will make his NFL debut in Week 9.
Saints get good news as Jordyn Tyson set to make NFL debut vs. Browns
“Sources: Saints rookie WR Jordyn Tyson plans to make his NFL debut vs. the Browns,” Schultz reported.
This is some fantastic news, as Tyson might finally be in line to make his NFL debut after missing the first seven games of the regular season due to a hamstring injury.
Drafted with the eighth overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft, Tyson suffered a hamstring injury during training camp and was forced to miss two months with a lengthy stint on injured reserve.

But after that long time on IR, which was always the most likely scenario after his hamstring injury was first reported, the Saints are set to get Tyson back.
Schultz is reporting that the Saints rookie WR “should be good to go” for New Orleans in their Week 9 matchup against the 5-3 Browns.
Tyson will join Chris Olave and Devaughn Vele in a quality wide receiver room for Tyler Shough. While Travis Etienne Jr. is still on IR, it seems likely that Tyson will be back for the Saints in Week 9.
