Chelsea have enjoyed one of the most stellar transfer markets in the recent past, and their manager, Enzo Maresca, deserves a lot of credit for it.
Maresca has earned the trust and support of the Chelsea management after a successful first season in charge, wherein he led the team to Champions League qualification and also clinched the UEFA Conference League and the Club World Cup.
On the back of that success, the Chelsea higher-ups decided to back their manager in the ongoing transfer window and have left no stone unturned in their efforts to strengthen the squad for next season.
Chelsea have signed a host of attacking talent so far and are reportedly set to add one more player to their ranks in the form of Xavi Simons.
Chelsea hold Simons in high regard and believe that he would be the ideal replacement for Joao Felix, who is set to join Al-Nassr.
Now, Maresca’s role in convincing Simons to choose the Blues has been revealed.
