The Dallas Cowboys are back in the win column… after beating the tanking Colts.
It was a thriller in Indy. The Colts took the lead with less than six minutes in the fourth quarter.
Dak Prescott led a long drive for Dallas that ended in a touchdown, securing a 27-23 win on the road.
But despite the result, the tape says this team is not at an elite level.
With the trade deadline just hours away, will the Cowboys make another acquisition?
Prescott says his team doesn’t need to make a big swing.
Dak Prescott says Cowboys have enough to make a playoff run
Dak was asked if the Cowboys have the talent to make noise in the postseason, per Jon Machota of The Athletic.
“Yeah, I do,” Prescott responded.
If you can always add, go do it. … But (the front office has) done a hell of a job with the team they’ve put together. It’s on us now, period,” he added.
Translation? Dak believes the Cowboys struggles come down to execution.
Dak Prescott when asked about the trade deadline and if he thinks the Cowboys have enough to be a playoff team: “Yeah, I do. … If you can always add, go do it. … But (the front office has) done a hell of a job with the team they’ve put together. It’s on us now, period.” https://t.co/9EUWzS9QUX

Jerry Jones and the Dallas front office have traded for All-Pro wide receiver George Pickens.
They took big swings to acquire Quinnen Williams and Joey Porter Jr.
Not to mention rookies like Caleb Downs, who had the game-clinching interception on Sunday, who were drafted to bolster the defense.
Fans can want more talent and that’s fine. But Dak, like many others, sees those investments as enough.
Prescott has always been more of a politician in the press room but he’s been speaking his mind more often this season.
The highest paid player in the NFL looks tired of his team’s issues on Sundays. He doesn’t believe the blame goes to the front office.
Only time will tell if Jerry Jones ignores his quarterback and takes another swing anyway.
