The Cleveland Browns are 5-2 in the regular season after a big win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 7. It was another comeback victory for Deshaun Watson and the Browns, which has kept them atop the AFC North for now.
But heading into Week 8, they get the Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh for a pivotal matchup before the Week 9 bye. A win would be massive for Cleveland, but it’s not going to be easy, as they’ve not had a regular-season win here in over two decades.
With such a brutal statistic in mind, The Athletic’s Zac Jackson shared a crazy stat based on that losing streak, which revealed there are 16 players on this Browns roster who weren’t born when the Browns last won a game in Pittsburgh.
16 Browns players weren’t born last time Cleveland won in Pittsburgh during regular season
“Sixteen players on the Browns’ 53-man roster were not yet born the last time the Browns won a regular-season game in Pittsburgh,” Jackson shared.
This streak itself is already ridiculous, as the Browns haven’t beaten the Steelers in Pittsburgh since their October 5, 2003, 33-13 win.
It’s been 20 straight games for the Browns where they’ve not gotten a win over the Steelers in Pittsburgh since 2003. Now, for Week 9, 2026, it seems like the Browns have their best chance to secure a win. It’s been 23 years without a victory for Cleveland.
The 21-year-old Spencer Fano and 22-year-olds Isaiah Bond, Denzel Boston, KC Concepcion, Harold Fannin Jr., Quinshon Judkins, Emmanuel McNeill-Warren, Toriano Pride Jr., Parker Brailsford, and Dylan Sampson were all born the last time the Browns beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh.

Those are some very notable names for the Browns who were not yet born the last time the Browns beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
It’s a huge matchup for this Browns team, and plenty of the players haven’t seen Cleveland win a regular-season game in Pittsburgh during their entire lifetime.
While they did see the Browns win in the playoffs not too long ago, back in 2021 with a 48-37 thrilling victory, the Browns’ losing streak in Pittsburgh is one that might finally change this season.
This Browns team is 5-2 and ready for the challenge of breaking this streak. A good chunk of the team wasn’t alive the last time they won in Pittsburgh, and now they might reset this clock once again and end a brutal streak in the process.
