Bournemouth are the next walk-on characters in Manchester United‘s latest crisis.

Como ran out 4-1 winners over Michael Carrick’s side in midweek, with Bruno Fernandes’ post-match comments piling further pressure on the United manager.

In response, Carrick dropped Fernandes – United’s captain and the reigning PFA and FWA Player of the Year – to the bench as the Red Devils look to end a run of seven matches without a win across all competitions.

Bournemouth are on a three-match winning run, including Europa League triumphs over Sturm Graz and AC Milan, and have not conceded a goal during this run.

The Cherries are unbeaten in their past three visits to Old Trafford, with last season’s remarkable 4-4 draw following back-to-back 3-0 wins. United have not beaten Bournemouth in the Premier League in their past six attempts home and away.
