The Cleveland Browns and the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to be linked to one another for a while, as their draft-night trade that allowed Travis Hunter to join the Jaguars was a big move for both franchises.
Fittingly, the Browns later went on to draft Shedeur Sanders on Day 3 of the NFL Draft, making for an even more interesting link between the Browns and Jaguars with the Hunter and Sanders connection. But the Colorado stars are not teammates in the NFL.
That is, until the report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter came out on Wednesday ahead of Week 6 of the 2026 NFL season. Sanders and Hunter are teammates again, but not in the way fans might think, as they both now have the same agent.
Shedeur Sanders hires same agent as Travis Hunter
“Browns QB Shedeur Sanders, who went through draft night and the early part of his NFL career without an agent, has signed with Adie von Gontard, CEO of Young Money APAA Sports, for representation,” Schefter reports. “With the signing, YMAPAA now represents former Colorado teammates Travis Hunter and Sanders.”
Colorado Buffaloes stars have reunited while in the NFL, just not in the way one might normally expect. After going through the draft process without an agent and sliding into the third day of the draft, Sanders has hired an agent.
Sitting firmly as the backup quarterback in Cleveland, Sanders is now being represented by the same agency as his college teammate. Hunter and Sanders have the same agent, as both move forward in their NFL careers.
While Hunter was taken No. 2 overall with the hopes of being a two-way player, he’s focused on the defensive side of the ball and has flashed a ton of potential.

He might get more offensive work going forward, which would certainly help him in contract talks in the not-too-distant future.
When it comes to Sanders, he’s stuck behind Deshaun Watson, who’s had a resurgence this season, and is firmly putting Sanders on the back burner in the Browns QB room.
Now with an agent by his side, making him teammates again with Hunter, Sanders could look to ask for a trade or have better representation as he heads deeper into his NFL career.
This news might not matter right now for Sanders and Hunter, but this is something to file away, as it could come into play later down the road during a trade demand or in contract talks, especially if one or the other hits free agency in three years.
