The Jaguars have their passports stamped and their best start in years to show for it, while the Eagles head across the pond trying to stop a skid.
Jacksonville (3-1) and Philadelphia (2-2) meet Sunday at 9:30 a.m. ET at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, the first of two straight London games for the Jaguars, who serve as the home team. Jacksonville is a 7-point or 7.5-point favorite, depending on which sportsbook you use.
The Jaguars have won two in a row, with a 35-6 blowout of the Patriots followed by a gritty 22-17 win in Cincinnati. Trevor Lawrence finally got his first career win over Joe Burrow in that one, and Jacksonville’s defense picked off the Bangals QB twice to hold on.
The Eagles are in a much different spot. They’ve dropped two straight, and last week’s 24-20 loss to the Rams stung the most, as Philadelphia blew a 10-point fourth-quarter lead and went 0-for-12 on third down. Making things tougher, Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith are dealing with hamstring injuries, Dallas Goedert is banged up (with a chance to play), interior offensive lineman Cam Jurgens was traded to the Ravens and Lane Johnson just announced his retirement.

Jaguars vs. Eagles prediction
It’s hard to find a team playing better than the Jaguars right now, and it’s even harder to trust the Eagles’ offense in its current state.
Jacksonville’s offense has been efficient in the spots that matter. They’re converting 51.1% of their third downs, the third-best mark in the NFL, and they’ve turned 81.8% of their red-zone trips into touchdowns. Lawrence is playing like an MVP candidate, and he’s getting help from a deep group of weapons, including Brian Thomas Jr., Parker Washington, and Bhayshul Tuten.
Philadelphia, meanwhile, hasn’t scored a second-half point in either of their last two losses. Jalen Hurts threw for only 93 yards against the Rams, and without his top playmakers, he’s been forced to lean on young receivers like Darius Cooper. That’s a tough ask against a Jaguars defense that has more interceptions than anyone in the league since the start of last season.
Jacksonville’s pass defense has given up plenty of yardage, so Hurts has a path to keep this close if he gets any time in the pocket. That said, the Eagles’ banged-up offensive line hasn’t shown it can protect him, and I expect the Jaguars to get home enough to stall drives.
The Eagles will hang around for a while, but Jacksonville should pull away late.
Prediction: Jaguars 26, Eagles 20

Jaguars vs. Eagles best bets
Jacksonville has been committed to the run, and Tuten has handled at least 13 carries in every game he has played this season, including 15 or more in three of four. He has also cleared this number in four straight games.
The matchup helps. Philadelphia’s defense has been vulnerable enough on the ground, and Jacksonville enters with one of the NFL’s highest run rates. The bigger factor is game script. With the Eagles dealing with injuries across the offense, Jacksonville has a real chance to play from ahead and lean on the run late.
If the Jaguars control this game the way I expect, Tuten should get enough volume to pass 14.5 carries.

This matchup sets up well for the under. Philadelphia is playing at a slow pace, ranking 25th in plays per game, while Jacksonville ranks 30th. The Jaguars also throw on just 49.8% of their plays, the fifth-lowest rate in the NFL, so there should be plenty of clock-moving possessions.
Jacksonville’s defense is the bigger reason I like it. The Jaguars rank sixth in defensive EPA/play, seventh against the pass and eighth against the run. They are also fifth in third-down defense and have allowed opponents to convert just 32.6% of their chances.
Philadelphia’s offense has been one of the least efficient in football, ranking 29th in EPA/play and 30th in success rate. If Jacksonville controls the game on the ground, possessions should be limited, and points could be difficult to come by.

Washington is one of my favorite touchdown looks in this matchup because his role gives him multiple paths to the end zone. Jacksonville has been the much more efficient offense, ranking second in EPA/play, third in EPA/pass, and fourth in success rate.
The Eagles defense ranks 17th in EPA/play and 23rd against the pass. Philadelphia has also struggled to consistently get off the field, ranking 18th in third-down defense. If Jacksonville is moving the ball as efficiently as the numbers suggest, Washington should get opportunities in scoring territory. At +160 at DraftKings, I like the price on a receiver attached to the better offense in a matchup where Jacksonville should spend plenty of time on the Eagles’ side of the field.

Best SGP for Jaguars vs. Eagles
Here is our favorite same game parlay for Week 5’s London game:
- Jaguars moneyline: Jacksonville has the clear efficiency edge, ranking second in EPA/play while Philadelphia sits 29th offensively. If the Jaguars avoid turnovers, they should control this game.
- Under 42.5 points: Both teams rank near the bottom of the league in pace, and Jacksonville has leaned heavily on the run. Pair that with a Jaguars defense ranked sixth in EPA/play, and you get limited possessions.
- Bhayshul Tuten 70+ rushing yards: Tuten continues to see steady volume in a run-heavy offense, and the expected game script should keep him involved throughout. If Jacksonville plays from ahead, 70 yards is well within reach.
- Odds (+335 at DraftKings)
