Louisville’s Isaac Brown was nearly unstoppable on Friday night.

The junior ran for a career-high 235 yards, including a 97-yard touchdown run, in Louisville’s 44-20 home victory over Florida State on Friday night. His 313 all-purpose yards fell just short of the school record of 322 yards set by Aaron Bailey in 1993.

The speedster’s rushing total came on just 17 carries.

Brown has amassed more than 2,600 yards rushing in his career, yet this was by far his best game. His previous career rushing high was 205 yards last season against Boston College.

Brown has always been explosive — he entered the night with a career average of 7.4 yards per carry.

He increased that with the 97-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, the longest play from scrimmage in school history.

He had a 71-yard kickoff return to start the second half, then added a 68-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

He appears to be finding a groove. The previous week, Brown ran for 125 yards and a touchdown on nine carries and returned four kickoffs for 82 yards against North Carolina State.
