This week we will be in for a treat in the SEC and potentially shake up some top 25 rankings with a key ranked matchup between the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs and arch nemesis No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide, along with some other potential upsets.

The SEC still holds the honors of most ranked teams with 9 (1 fewer than last week’s top 25 poll). Things could change after Saturday with some great games slated.

Georgia and Alabama face off Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET. A potential SEC championship preview between two border state schools and charter members of the conference. Every time these teams play, the intensity is unmatched. Alabama leads the all-time series 45-27, and even with the exit of Saban, they have gotten the upper hand over the Bulldogs.

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer is 2-1 against Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs. Smart, on the other hand, is 2-7 against Alabama (including his matchups with Saban). One thing is certain, one team will lose, and their rankings and SEC standing will suffer.

An upset to look out for is the Kentucky Wildcats against No. 10 LSU Tigers on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. Kentucky is coming off their biggest win in program history against South Carolina when they erased a 17-0 deficit to win 35-34 in overtime.

LSU is a good team under new head coach Lane Kiffin, but some could argue that he’s had an underwhelming debut season. They lost to the Ole Miss Rebels in a nail-biter, but they trampled the Texas A&M Aggies, who are playing like a shell of themselves. Kentucky has a ranked win against Texas A&M and has proven they can win big games. If LSU allows the Wildcats to stay in the game like South Carolina, they will be on the wrong end of an upset.

No. 14 Missouri Tigers and Texas A&M play Saturday at 12 p.m. ET. Missouri is the favorite to win, rightfully so, after they snapped their nine-game losing streak against ranked opponents. While Texas A&M is 3-2, they are still capable of winning big games. The Tigers must not let their huge upset against Florida make their heads big.

Every year the SEC ends in a bloodbath. Week in and week out in conference play is unpredictable and only the fittest survive. Who will make it out this week and live to stay ranked another week?
