Victor Wembanyama has cemented his place among the greatest players in the league today. He has already managed to lead the San Antonio Spurs to the NBA Finals, and he is drawing all kinds of players to help him compete for the championship.
The latest big name to join the Spurs in the latest offseason was Tobias Harris. He went from playing for the #1-seeded Detroit Pistons to possibly the most promising team in the NBA, which just made it to its first NBA Finals as a core group.
Tobias Harris loves what he has seen from Victor Wembanyama up close
Harris has seen and played against Wembanyama before, but now that he’s up close, he is getting to see what makes him special behind the scenes. Wembanyama has proven to be one of the league’s biggest stars both literally and figuratively.
Defensively, Wembanyama can clean up almost anything with his defensive instincts and his natural size. Offensively, Wembanyama has shown that he can be a dominant player, but he also has some room for improvement.

As a veteran who is also quite an accomplished offensive player, Harris can have a huge impact on Wembanyama’s development. Moving forward, it seems that this will be a great addition for the Spurs because they know that Harris provides all types of positive strengths on and off the court.
“He’s one of the hardest workers that I’ve seen in this game. He’s such a student of the game, an intelligent player, and very responsive to any type of feedback on the game. Very great to be around; I haven’t been around him too long, but I’m looking forward to getting out there and going to battle with him,” Harris said about Wembanyama during the Spurs’ Media Day.
Moving forward, it will be tough to stop the Spurs because they will have an even better team this time around. They have the experience now, and they are motivated to perform. They even got reinforcements with Harris, so it will be an even more dangerous team to play against, especially with a rejuvanated Wembanyama.
