As every team hopes to take down the Los Angeles Dodgers in the MLB playoffs, the Milwaukee Brewers and San Diego Padres in particular want their shot at the two-time defending champions.
After getting swept by the Dodgers in the NLCS last year, the Brewers had their first 100-win season to complete the second-straight year as the best team in baseball. Milwaukee has missed the playoffs just once since 2018, but has yet to break through to the World Series.
Meanwhile, the Padres are in the midst of their own great stretch of playoff appearances, but also haven’t made the Worlds Series since 1998. San Diego has a star-studded roster of players who are itching to get a chance to win the National League.
Both these teams have great home-field advantages in the league, which should lead to an exciting five-game series.
