High school baseball playoffs are at their apex throughout the state of Michigan, with semifinal and championship game action beginning on Thursday, June 12.
Play across all four levels of competition will take place in East Lansing on the campus of Michigan State University.
Some of the elite teams in the state are still alive in their quest for a championship. At the Division I level, high-octane semifinal action includes No. 1 Dakota battling No. 3 Bay City Western, as well as No. 2 Grosse Pointe South taking on No. 10 Hartland. Two top-10 matchups should make for great theatre.
Elsewhere, No. 5 Forest Hills Eastern battles Orchard Lake St. Mary’s in the Division 2 semifinals; Norway, which finished last year’s tournament as the runner-up, looks to complete its redemption arc in the Division 4 bracket.
