Lewis Hamilton certainly made a statement when he arrived at Silverstone on Thursday ahead of the British Grand Prix. Wearing a custom Burberry outfit, he had fans reaching for their cameras as the seven-time champion made his first appearance at the British track under the Ferrari flag.
The Burberry outfit, consisting of a gabardine trench vest and cargo trousers, was decorated with Swarovski crystals in the shape of a Union Jack, contrasting with the purples, pinks, and reds of the material beneath them.
On his wrist sat a Richard Mille 43-01 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph Ferrari, a watch made in partnership with the Scuderia. This specific Carbon TPT model is priced at $1,535,000, making it by far the most expensive item the driver wore today.
His sunglasses don’t come from Ferrari sponsor Ray-Ban. Instead, they’re Ascari Suns from Jacques Marie Mage, priced at around £785. His earrings are from Swarovski.

This is the third race weekend Hamilton has arrived at the track in something other than his team kit. With this being the driver’s home race, it’s no surprise that he’s making something of it.
“I think on a dry day McLaren will walk off into the distance, as you’ve seen in the past races, but you never know here what’s going to happen with the wind, with the rain,” Hamilton told the media today.
“The crowd makes a massive difference. I’m hoping they edge us a little bit closer.”
The driver’s last win came just under a year ago at the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix when he inherited the victory from his then-team-mate George Russell, who was disqualified. He’s hoping his home race this year can give him the momentum he needs to bring home a strong result.
“I’m just hoping for a strong weekend. I’ve not had a podium yet, this would be a really special place in order to have that so I’m really counting on the amazing support we have here to hopefully make the difference.”
