And with this gratuitous Billy Idol reference – if you like them, we’ve got more, more, more – we introduce the other (ahem) hot topic of the weekend, that of the FIA declaring a Heat Hazard because temperatures were forecast to exceed 31C.
This means drivers are obliged to wear the new cooling vests or carry ballast. There is talk of this being compulsory next year but, would you believe it, not all the drivers like the idea and Max Verstappen is head of the queue to complain.
He doesn’t sweat much, apparently. Perhaps Prince Andrew missed his vocation as an F1 driver!
