The Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix is set to kick off on track tomorrow with the first two practice sessions. While thundery showers are expected on Friday, they are not forecast to persist throughout the weekend, but wet weather could continue to pose a problem for teams and drivers.
F1 returns to the Zandvoort circuit after a three-week summer break. The intense title fight between McLaren drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris is set to continue, as just nine points separate them ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix. Home hero Max Verstappen will also be looking to close the gap to second position in the standings.

Friday: Free practice 1 & 2
FP1: 12:30 – 13:30 local
FP2: 16:00 – 17:00 local
Scattered thunderstorms from Thursday are set to carry through to Friday, with thundery showers expected in the afternoon. Weather.com currently predicts a high temperature of 19C, SW winds at 10-15 mph and a 41% chance of rain. Humidity will be high at 80%.
Humidity is set to remain at 80% through the night, and the rain is also expected to continue, with a 39% chance of precipitation.

Saturday: Free practice 3 & qualifying
FP3: 11:30 – 12:30 local
Qualifying: 15:00 – 16:00 local
Saturday, which will host the all-important qualifying session, will see slightly easier conditions for the drivers. Thundery showers are no longer expected to be a threat on Saturday and the chance of rain drops to 24%. Temperatures are expected to reach 20C with SW winds at 10-20 mph. Humidity will also fall to 73% during the day before rising to 75% in the evening.
Showers are due to arrive late at night, with a 40% chance of rain.
Sunday: Grand Prix
Grand Prix: 15:00 local
Rain showers are expected on race day in the morning, with a 52% chance of wet weather. Temperatures should reach 21C, and SW winds are anticipated to continue at 10-20 mph. The humidity is currently predicted to be at 74% during the day before increasing to 81% in the evening.
