Angel Reese isn’t intimidated by the WNBA’s biggest stage, which is no surprise for anyone who watched her play at LSU.
After missing the playoffs in each of his first two seasons with the Chicago Sky, Reese’s arrival in Atlanta has been an ideal fit. The Dream are one win away from a WNBA championship, and Reese has been central to the team’s success.
With one game still remaining, Reese is finishing up a playoff run that rewrote the history books.
Here’s a look at the WNBA playoff records broken by Reese this fall.

Angel Reese WNBA playoff records
The chase for a title isn’t done yet for Reese and the Dream, but she now owns these six playoff records:
Most points by a center in first playoff run
Reese has the record for most points by a center in a WNBA playoff run with 185 through 11 games. The three-time All-Star is averaging 16.8 points per game in the playoffs, up slightly from her regular season mark, and she has four games of at least 20 points during Atlanta’s run.
Most rebounds by a player in first playoff run
Already a historically productive rebounder in the regular season, it’s no surprise Reese now holds the record for most rebounds by a player in her first playoff run. The length of the WNBA Finals helps, but Reese is averaging 10.9 rebounds per game to this point, giving her 120 boards through 11 games.

Most assists by a center in first playoff run
Reese’s game isn’t one dimensional, as she also now has the most assists of any center during her first playoff run. Reese’s 30 assists pale in comparison to her 120 rebounds, but 2.7 assists per game is a high mark for a center and nearly matches her regular season average.
Most steals by a player in first playoff run
You would expect a guard to hold a steals record, but Reese has the most steals of any player in her first playoff run. Reese is sitting on 16 steals through 11 playoff games, highlighted by a three-steal showing in Game 3 of the Finals.
Most blocks by a player in first playoff run
Reese is averaging 1.6 blocks per game in these playoffs, giving her 18 total and also putting her atop the leaderboard among players participating in their first playoff run.
Most 3-pointers made by a center in first playoff run
No one is looking for Reese to start raining down 3s during games, as she does most of her work close to the basket, but she is capable of hitting an outside shot when needed. Reese has made 10 3-pointers during Atlanta’s 11 playoff games, a record for a center on her first playoff run.
