After a 2-1 start to the 2025-26 NBA regular season, the Miami Heat‘s next task will be against the Charlotte Hornets.
It will be the Heat’s final contest at home before traveling for four straight road games against the San Antonio Spurs (Oct. 30), the Los Angeles Lakers (Nov. 2), the Los Angeles Clippers (Nov. 3), and the Denver Nuggets (Nov. 7).
Heading into the Tuesday night matchup, some notable names have been added to the Heat injury report, including Miami’s top offseason acquisition, guard Norman Powell
Norman Powell, Simone Fontecchio, and more on Heat’s injury report vs. Hornets
According to Miami Heat insider Zachary Weinberger, Norman Powell is listed as questionable (groin), and Simone. Fontecchio (calf) is probable for the team’s matchup against the Charlotte Hornets.
Powell, 32, popped up on the report while experiencing right groin soreness. Through his first three games with the Heat, he’s averaged 24.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while shooting 47.7% from the field and 50% from three.
Fontecchio, 29, was initially labeled as questionable for the contest. His status has been upgraded to probably. Through his first three appearances after being traded this offseason from the Detroit Pistons, he’s averaged 13.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists while shooting 61.5% from the field and 50% from three.
Three other Heat players who are listed out for the contest include Tyler Herro, Kasparas Jakucionis, and Terry Rozier.
