The Atlanta Falcons have an injury concern with wide receiver Drake London ahead of their Week 8 game against the Miami Dolphins after he was downgraded on Saturday.

The Falcons announced that London is now questionable for Sunday due to his hip injury. London popped up on the injury report on Friday and was limited but wasn’t given a designation until Saturday.

London being added to the injury report on Friday suggests he suffered the injury in practice, although that hasn’t been confirmed.

Nevertheless, his being a late addition to the injury report and the downgrade in his status are obviously bad signs for his Week 8 availability.

If London can’t go, his absence should provide a boost for Darnell Mooney. David Sills, Casey Washington and KhaDarel Hodge could also get a bump.

London isn’t the only concern the Falcons have on offense, as quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is also questionable to play because of a bone bruise in his knee. Reports suggest he won’t suit up and the Falcons will roll with Kirk Cousins instead.

Cousins and Mooney showed plenty of chemistry in 2024 in what was the second-best year of the veteran wideout’s career, so he could be in line for a big game if London does indeed sit.

The Falcons and Dolphins will kick off at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. Both teams will drop their lists of inactives an hour and a half before kickoff, so we’ll have a definitive answer on London then.
