Before heading to ultra-glam Milan, Italy during her splashy return to modeling, Sports Illustrated star Ellie Thumann stripped down to a tiny string bikini to beauty-prep for her trip.
In the Thursday, September 25 TikTok video, she explains that she’d been home in Charleston for two important birthdays, as she walks around a pool deck in a tiny black bikini.
“I thought it’d be fun, because I have to self-tan and do a little bit of self-care prep before we go, to take advantage of the outdoor shower,” she says, flaunting her chiseled bikini body. “When else am I going to be able to do that?
“So let’s do it!”
While standing under the water, she raved, “What a vibe! The beach right there…”
In the next shot, she’s changed into a comfy-looking PJs set: shorts, a triangle top and a long-sleeved shirt she wears unbuttoned, all in blue. She then walks her fans through her self-tanning routine.

The comments immediately filled with women asking about her bikini, which features little bows on each side of the top and barely-there bottoms.
While Thuman, 23, did appear in this year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue (her third consecutive turn), she eschewed any other modeling to instead travel, create content and take the year off.

The Arizona native also walked in the iconic magazine’s runway show to close out Miami Swim Week this past May 31. Also walking in the show were reigning cover stars Livvy Dunne, Jordan Chiles and Lauren Chan, and her fellow models from the issue, including Xandra Pohl, Jena Sims, Denise Bidot, Camille Kostek and Penny Lane.
