Banana the Corgi stole the show with a viral look-back during the Seahawks‘ corgi race earlier this season, but she has some competition in Charlotte.
One Corgi didn’t want the fun to end after the Panthers‘ race at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday, and it took a small army to corral it.
Fans watched as a handful of Panthers staffers tried and failed to get ahold of the rogue Corgi — not all that different than how Carolina’s defense has looked of late — until one finally brought an end to the chase.
Here’s a look at the hilarious clip from the Panthers’ halftime entertainment.

Watch how many Panthers staffers it takes to corral rogue Corgi
One Corgi evaded capture at Bank of America Stadium for about a minute, but it had to feel like an eternity on those legs:

As many as five people in pursuit struggled to corral the Corgi, including some unsuccessful dives. The end of the chase will go down as a combined tackle, as one staffer slowed the Corgi before another finished the job.
Here’s how “NFL Red Zone” host Scott Hanson summed up the chase:

The Eagles, Colts, Falcons and Rams are all hosting Corgi races in the coming weeks, so there could be some more viral moments on the way from these fiercely independent dogs.
