In a weekend of football rivalries, the Commonwealth Cup stands out as a fan favorite. Virginia Tech hosts Virginia on November 28 in the annual showdown.
ACC and in-state rivals, this game is always a battle, even when nothing more than bragging rights is on the line.
The Cavaliers are the defending champions of the Commonwealth Cup, ending the Hokies’ four-year win streak. It’ll be an uphill battle for Virginia to win this game again, though, as Tech not only has home field advantage but hopes to end its new era on a high note.
