This week’s Thursday night matchup will feature two teams on that appear to be on two different paths. The 5-2 Jacksonville Jaguars will head up the Atlantic coast to take on the floundering 4-4 Baltimore Ravens, who will be playing without their star quarterback, Lamar Jackson. One of the best ways to get in on the action is on prediction markets like ProphetX, Kalshi and OG.com.

Despite being at home, the Ravens are listed as high as 10.5-point underdogs on some platforms. The last time they were given that many points at home came in December 2015, when they went on to upset the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-17, according to Jamison Henley.

Last week against the Buffalo Bills, wide receiver Zay Flowers was held to five targets with zero receptions under his belt. Baltimore will have more time to prepare their offense around not having Jackson, but they’ll have to play a backup against a highly-touted Jacksonville defense.

Now is the perfect time for sports fans to use prediction markets with the NFL, NBA, NHL, college football and basketball all in full swing. Plus, new users can get started with the TSN promo code for a $75 prediction bonus on ProphetX.

ProphetX Ravens vs. Jaguars value plays

Not many positive things can be said about Baltimore’s most recent performance last week. Even against a poor Buffalo Bills defense, the Ravens were only able to tally 167 total yards. After making his first start in almost a month, Lamar Jackson went down early in the first quarter with a thumb injury; then, backup Tyler Huntley was forced out of the game with a toe injury. Their third-string quarterback, Joe Fagano, had a brutal day at the office with only 91 passing yards and an interception. He, too, fell injured after the game, so the team signed Kedon Slovis in the event neither Fagano nor Huntley was able to play this week.

Trevor Lawrence and Co. are figuring things out this season, and the quarterback is beginning to enter light MVP conversations. Bhayshul Tuten is coming off his most yards in an NFL game with 159 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns against the Colts. With an offense as high-flying as Jacksonville’s at the moment, a Ravens’ defense may have their hands full when it comes to preventing scores. They’re coming off back-to-back losses of 22 points or more, and that streak may stretch another week.

Jacksonville has a prime opportunity to have their best game on the road this season against a defense coming off consecutive weeks allowing 35+ points. In Week 7, the Ravens let Cincinnati score 35 points at their own M&T Bank Stadium. It would be far from surprising for that to occur again this week, especially with how down team spirits likely are with Jackson back on the IR. The Jaguars only need three touchdowns and a field goal to hit this line, and their offense has been playing good enough to feel confident in this market.

Baltimore will likely have an uphill climb when it comes to scoring points on Thursday night. They’ve only scored one touchdown each in their last two weeks, but Henry opened his team’s scoring against Buffalo last week. It’s hard to feel confident about anyone on this Ravens offense at the moment with Jackson hurt, but Henry has never needed a good quarterback to run the ball well.

If Baltimore’s quarterback can get the team to just outside the red zone, it’s palpable to believe that Henry could rush the ball every time until they finish the drive with a score. Jacksonville allows a league-low 77.4 rushing yards per game, so yardage may not come to Henry this week. Baltimore has to score points somehow, however, and Henry is the team’s leading candidate by far.

Fantasy football GMs will love Kalshi’s player prop market for fantasy points. Lawrence has hit this line in four out of his seven games this season. A blowout could pose a risk if the team decides to rely on Tuten to chew up the clock like last week, but Baltimore’s passing defense allows far more yards than their rushing unit.

To get to 19.6 or more fantasy points, Jacksonville’s franchise quarterback needs to compile a stat line in the ballpark of 250 passing yards, two touchdown passes, and 16 rushing yards. Each passing yard is worth 0.04 fantasy points; TD passes are worth four points, and rushing yards are 0.1 per yard. Joe Burrow and Josh Allen were able to get over this fantasy line against Baltimore in the last two weeks. As long as Lawrence gets some yardage, both in the air and on the ground, and some scores under his belt before this game gets out of hand, he should get to over 19.5 fantasy points.

As well as Jacksonville has been playing, much of that strong form has come in Duval County. In their two road games this season, they haven’t scored more than two touchdowns. In addition, their defense has stifled their opponents with an average of 1.5 interceptions per road game. The Ravens could not get much going against the Bills last week, and the Jaguars’ defense is far more formidable than the AFC East side’s. As long as Jacksonville’s scoring rate doesn’t get as out-of-hand as it was against Indianapolis last week, this game has a lot of potential to fall under.
