New Ballon d’Or winner Harry Kane leads Bayern Munich to the halfway point of the league phase as the German giants visit Atletico Madrid in Champions League action from the Spanish capital.
Through the first three matches of the league phase, Bayern sit well outside the coveted eight bye positions, having won just one game so far while drawing two others. They managed just a point at home against Arsenal, while also embarrassingly forced to scrape and claw for a point against Viking after seeing Michael Olise sent off.
They are also coming off a draw in Der Klassiker over the weekend as they finished level with Borussia Dortmund thanks to Fabio Silva’s late equalizer for Bayern’s biggest rivals.
Atleti, meanwhile, are two back of Bayern in 16th as they too have just one win through the first three games of the competition. They are, however, in excellent domestic form, having won five straight to sit second in the La Liga table, just two back of leaders Barcelona.
The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch the match, kickoff times and the weekly schedule.
