Amani Hooker had himself a day facing one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks in Week 8.

The Titans safety helped his squad take a lead and compete for a win against the Bengals on Sunday, picking off three passes from Joe Burrow.

With his three-interception day, Hooker joined an exclusive list of defenders to reach that number in the 21st century.

Here’s a look at how Hooker’s three-pick performance in Titans vs. Bengals compares to the most single-game interceptions in NFL history.

Most INTs by a defensive player in one game

Hooker didn’t quite reach an NFL record, as a long list of players are tied for the all-time mark with four interceptions in a game. Most recently, that list includes DeAngelo Hall in 2010, Deltha O’Neal in 2001 and Kwamie Lannister in 1998.

A total of 20 players have picked off four passes in a game, per Football Reference. A much longer list of players have grabbed three interceptions, though it’s a feat that has become far rarer in recent years.

Hooker’s performance marked just the second time since 2020 and the sixth time since 2010 that a player grabbed three interceptions in one game. In the 2000s, it was far more common — players like Aqib Talib, Marcus Trufant, Asante Samuel and Ronde Barber all had three-pick games.

Hooker’s first pick of the game came in the first quarter, his third of the season.

He completed his trifecta with a late-third-quarter catch on an intended deep-ball target to Ja’Marr Chase.

Here’s a look at the updated list of players to pick off three passes in a game since 2010:
