The WNBA Finals shift to Atlanta for Game 3 on Wednesday night, and for the first time in the series, the Dream have the edge.
After dropping a 68-64 grinder in Game 1, Atlanta answered with a statement on Monday. Angel Reese poured in 30 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as the Dream pulled away in the second half for a 79-65 win at the Chase Center. It was the franchise’s first Finals victory, and it handed Golden State its first home loss of the postseason.
Now the series is tied 1-1, and the Dream get the next two games at home. The Valkyries swept all three regular-season meetings, but this is looking more and more like a different matchup. Golden State will need to clean up the 19 turnovers they had in Game 2 and find more scoring from their starters.
Game 3 tips off at 8 p.m. ET on USA, CNBC and Peacock. We break down our best bets, odds, and sportsbook promos for Wednesday night below. The WNBA Finals is the perfect time to get into WNBA betting, as bet365 offers new users a special promo: Bet $10, get $200 win or lose!

Valkyries vs. Dream prediction
I like the Dream to take Game 3 and grab a 2-1 series lead.
Atlanta turned Game 2 around in the third quarter, holding Golden State to just nine points and outscoring them by 12 in that frame. That’s the kind of defense the Dream have played throughout this postseason, and Angel Reese is a big reason why. The Defensive Player of the Year is controlling the paint on both ends, and the Valkyries haven’t found an answer for her yet.
Allisha Gray is also rounding back into form. She missed most of the semifinals with a hand injury, but she added 18 points on Monday, and her shot-making gives Atlanta a second scorer they didn’t have against New York.
Golden State’s bench has been a strength, and Gabby Williams can take over a game. Even so, the Valkyries’ starters have struggled to score against this defense, and that’s a tough problem to fix on the road. With the crowd behind them, I’ll take the Dream to protect home court.
Prediction: Dream 78, Valkyries 71

Valkyries vs. Dream best bet
Game 2 felt like a turning point. The Dream didn’t just win on the road; they controlled the entire second half, and now they come home where they’ve been tough to beat all season. With the series heading to Atlanta for the next two games, I expect the Dream to keep the pressure on.
The scary part for Golden State is that Atlanta still has room to improve. Rhyne Howard, who led the league in steals this season, hasn’t found her shot yet in this series. She went just 3-for-14 from the field in Game 1. If she gets going at home, the Dream have another scoring threat the Valkyries have to account for.
These are two of the best defenses in the league, and Game 1 came down to the final possessions so that points won’t come easy. That works in Atlanta’s favor, though. Golden State’s offense has stalled for long stretches against the Dream’s length, and a couple of empty trips is all it takes for Atlanta to build a two-possession cushion at home.
The Dream have been the better team for most of the series, and I’ll back them to win by more than a field goal at home.

Best Angel Reese player prop
Reese has been the engine of this Dream run, and this line feels a little light for what she’s doing right now. She averaged 16.4 points and 12.1 rebounds during the regular season, which already puts her about two clear of this number on a normal night.
The rebounding floor is what makes this prop so appealing. Reese set WNBA single-season records for total rebounds and offensive rebounds this year, and she led the league with 4.8 offensive boards per game. Even when her shot isn’t falling, she creates extra chances for herself around the rim, and those putbacks add up fast in a combo prop like this.
She’s also playing with a ton of confidence after taking over Game 2. These are two elite defenses, so second-chance points carry even more weight, and nobody on the floor generates them better than Reese. With the Dream back home and feeding her the ball early, I’ll back her to clear 26.5.
