Week 6 of the NFL season is here, and we’ve already seen the Seahawks and Broncos kick things off Thursday night. Now, the attention shifts to a Sunday slate that opens with the Texans and Jaguars in London and closes with the Cowboys visiting the Packers at Lambeau Field. The week wraps up Monday night when the Commanders travel to San Francisco to face the 49ers.

Injuries continue to play a massive role in the player prop market. Philadelphia is dealing with uncertainty surrounding Jalen Hurts who is dealing with a blood clot, while the Ravens have their own questions at quarterback with Lamar Jackson still nursing an ankle. Those situations can drastically change how offenses operate, creating opportunities for bettors willing to look beyond season-long averages.

Several intriguing matchups stand out this weekend, including a Dallas defense that could have its hands full against Green Bay and a Jacksonville offense looking to continue its early-season success.

Below, we break down our best NFL Week 6 player props, along with odds, predictions, strategy tips, and sportsbook promos you can use throughout the weekend. Football season is the perfect time to get into football betting, as bet365 offers new users a special promo: Bet $10, get $200 win or lose!

Best NFL Week 6 player prop bets

Each week, we’ll highlight five of our favorite player prop bets across the NFL slate. Here’s why these stand out in Week 6.

  • Christian Watson anytime touchdown: The Packers get a Sunday night matchup against Dallas, and Watson offers an appealing touchdown opportunity at +120. His speed makes him a difficult assignment for defensive backs, especially when Green Bay creates opportunities off play-action.
  • Bhayshul Tuten over 63.5 rushing yards: Jacksonville has shown a willingness to establish the run, and Tuten is becoming an increasingly important part of that approach. The Jaguars enter their London matchup with Houston at 4-1, giving them every reason to continue leaning on an offense that has produced results. Tuten should clear this number if Jacksonville keeps the game competitive and maintains its rushing volume. He will have a massive workload, and should cash with ease.
  • C.J. Stroud under 255.5 passing yards: Houston’s offensive struggles have been difficult to ignore, and now Stroud gets a Jacksonville team that has opened the season 4-1. The Jaguars have shown they can win games by controlling possession and keeping opposing offenses uncomfortable. That could create problems for Stroud, particularly if Houston struggles to sustain drives.
  • Nico Collins over 71.5 receiving yards: Houston enters this matchup needing more offensive consistency, and Collins remains one of C.J. Stroud’s most dangerous weapons. Jacksonville has played well defensively, but Collins has the size and downfield ability to turn a handful of opportunities into significant yardage. If the Texans find themselves trailing, the passing volume should work in his favor.
  • Parker Washington anytime touchdown: Washington continues to establish himself as a dangerous weapon in Jacksonville’s offense, and we’re getting +185 for him to find the end zone against Houston. His ability to create separation and manufacture yards after the catch gives Trevor Lawrence another option in scoring situations. The Jaguars should have chances to move the ball, especially if their running game forces Houston to commit extra defenders near the line of scrimmage. At this price, Washington is worth considering as a touchdown scorer.

Best sportsbooks for NFL player props

Player props are one of the easiest ways to build same-game parlays, especially if you already have a strong read on how a matchup should play out. Instead of betting every prop straight, you can pair correlated angles like a quarterback over with a receiver over, or a favorite’s running back over with the team spread, to create a bigger payout without forcing completely unrelated legs together.

Best player prop overall

Green Bay’s matchup against Dallas offers Watson a chance to make an impact downfield. His speed can create problems for a Cowboys defense that will have to respect multiple weapons in the Packers’ offense. Jordan Love doesn’t need to target Watson heavily for this bet to cash, either. A single vertical route or red-zone opportunity could be enough. At +120, we’re getting a reasonable return on a receiver who can produce explosive plays.

Best player prop value bet

Indianapolis hosts Tennessee in a matchup where the Colts should have opportunities to sustain drives and reach the red zone. Warren gives the offense another sizable receiving option who can create mismatches against linebackers and defensive backs. At the same time, Jonathan Taylor will command plenty of attention near the goal line, which could open opportunities for Warren through the air. At +150, we’re getting a favorable payout without needing significant receiving yardage.

Best player prop over bet

Pittsburgh is thin at receiver, with Michael Pittman Jr. and Roman Wilson both out, and that should push even more targets to Pat Freiermuth. He already ranks second on the team behind DK Metcalf with 26 targets, and he drew seven in last week’s win over the Colts.

The yardage hasn’t always followed. Freiermuth is averaging 33.8 receiving yards per game and does most of his work underneath, so he usually needs four or five catches to get here.

That said, Aaron Rodgers keeps looking his way, and he leads all tight ends with four touchdowns. With six or seven targets in Tampa Bay, one chunk play over the middle should get him there.

Best player prop under bet

Houston has struggled to find offensive consistency, and a matchup with Jacksonville isn’t necessarily where everything suddenly clicks. The Jaguars have started 4-1 and should be confident in their ability to dictate stretches of this game. Stroud could see considerable passing volume if Houston falls behind, but attempts don’t automatically translate to efficiency. We’re fading the Texans’ passing production against a Jacksonville team that has been finding ways to win.

Best NFL Week 6 longshot prop bet

Tampa Bay presents an interesting matchup for Pittsburgh, especially if the Steelers can create red-zone opportunities for their tight ends. Freiermuth doesn’t need a high-volume receiving performance to make an impact, and his size could be an advantage in scoring situations. There is certainly risk here given the number of offensive weapons Pittsburgh can involve, but that’s also why we’re getting better than 3-to-1 odds. One well-designed red-zone play could be enough to cash this ticket.

Best NFL Week 5 sportsbook promos for existing users

  • Best profit or odds boost: DraftKings has one of the strongest Week 4 offers, starting with a 50% profit boost for Chiefs vs. Colts on Sunday night. You can use the token on an eligible straight bet or same-game parlay, giving bettors flexibility instead of forcing a specific market. DraftKings is also rotating football profit boosts throughout the week.
  • Best bonus bet offer: BetMGM’s No Sweat Token is the best safety-net option I found for returning users. Apply the token to an eligible football wager and, if the bet loses, you get your stake back in Bonus Bets. BetMGM also has a Pro Football SGP Boost Token available for eligible same-game parlays.
  • Best parlay promo: FanDuel offers Bet Protect+, which is helpful for parlays. For eligible NFL player props, a qualifying injury can result in a cash refund on a straight bet, while an injured player’s leg can be removed from an SGP and the remaining wager repriced. This was a free feature in September, but it now carries a 3% fee.
  • Best same game parlay promo: In terms of same-game parlays, bet365 has an offer that is hard to pass up. Bet365 continues to offer SGP profit boosts during Week 4, with boosts reaching as high as 50% depending on the offer and account. The most common qualifying structure is a three-leg SGP at combined odds of +100 or longer, although the exact boost percentage and maximum wager can vary by user.

NFL player prop betting strategies

The first thing I look at with player props is opportunity. Targets, carries, routes run, snap share, and red-zone usage usually matter more than what a player averaged over an entire season. A receiver averaging 65 yards per game is much less appealing if his target share has started dropping, while a running back getting 20 touches every week can still be valuable even if his recent box scores have been quiet.

Matchups matter, but go deeper than fantasy points allowed. For passing and receiving props, look at pressure rate, coverage tendencies, yards allowed by position, and whether the defense forces quarterbacks underneath. For rushing props, offensive line play, run-defense EPA, stuff rate, and expected game script can help determine whether the volume will actually be there.

Shopping around is also huge. One sportsbook might have a receiver at 64.5 yards while another has 69.5. The difference looks small until your player finishes with 67. The same applies to prices, especially on receptions, touchdowns, and defensive props.

Same-game parlays can also be useful when the legs correlate, but the price still has value.

NFL player prop mistakes to avoid

The biggest mistake is chasing what happened the previous week. A player going for 150 yards does not automatically make his over a good bet the next Sunday. Sportsbooks adjust quickly, and an inflated number can create more value on the under.

Another mistake is focusing too heavily on season averages without understanding how those numbers were created. Injuries, personnel changes, game script, and changing roles can completely alter a player’s expected workload. Always make sure the current version of the offense matches the data you are using.

Avoid unthinkingly betting overs, too. They are more fun to root for, but unders can offer some of the best value on the board, especially when a player’s role is shrinking, or the matchup creates a major volume concern.

Finally, do not ignore the price. A great prop at -110 can become a bad bet at -160. Know what number and price you are willing to take before placing the wager, and be willing to pass when the market moves against you.
