Saturday will close out what has been a thrilling series between the Cleveland Guardians and the Chicago White Sox. The away side has taken every contest so far, but will that trend continue?

Gavin Williams will get the nod to start in a must-win game, even though he pitched an inning of relief during Thursday’s Game 4 bout. Sean Burke will most likely emerge from the White Sox dugout to continue his pair of solid postseason showings.

After Chicago had two chances to clinch their first playoff series in front of their home crowd in 120 years, they came up short in both attempts. The away side has won every contest in this series so far, and maybe the added pressure of White Sox history inhibited the team. They’ve seemed to play better in games where they are doubted, and Saturday’s matchup will certainly bring back that underdog mentality. Sean Burke is currently slated to make the pivotal Game 5 start, and he seems to be Will Venable’s only pitcher who can pitch into the middle portion of the game. Chicago may opt to bring in their bullpen if things get dicey early, but it’s hard to ignore the success they’ve already had at Progressive Field this October.

Best MLB Playoffs player props for Saturday

Murakami hasn’t hit a blast since his Game 1 moonshot that sailed 440 feet out of Progressive Field. Now, he’s back in the Cleveland ballpark, which should bode well for him. The 26-year-old has better hitting numbers on the road, believe it or not. Thursday night’s Game 4 was the first time a White Sox batter rounded the bases since the Japanese first baseman did in Game 1. When bettors should mentally picture a bat popping, Murakami’s face should be the go-to image when his team needs him more than ever on Saturday night.

This simple SGP has hit in each of the last two games; I’d say the third try’s a charm, but the first and second ones have already been. It’s never a bad bet to combine some of each team’s best hitters into a quick play like this one. This play cashed in the fourth inning of Game 3 and an inning later in Game 4. At the time of writing, it’s a bit tricky to have a sense of who Meidroth will take pitches against, but he’s been very consistent this postseason. Ramirez hasn’t managed to get a hit off of Burke this season, but he’s shown to be a force in the middle to late portions of the game, when Chicago may opt to take their starting pitcher out.
