The WNBA Playoffs are in semifinals, with only four teams still competing for the 2026 crown.

The Atlanta Dream, headlined by Angel Reese and Rhyne Howard, and the Golden State Valkyries, with Gabby Williams leading the charge, both jumped out to early 1-0 series leads after Game 1. However, WNBA fans know neither the New York Liberty, nor A’ja Wilson’s Las Vegas Aces can be counted out after just one bout on the hardwood.

Both sides that played on their home court were able to emerge victorious by double figures, but a best-of-5 series means these matchups are far from over.

Prediction markets are a growing medium for sports fans to get even more invested in the action. Instead of betting against a bookmaker who’s already tilted the odds in favor of the house, prediction markets involve users creating their own markets via a two-digit percent that represents the likelihood of an event happening.

Now is the perfect time for sports fans to use prediction markets. New users can get started with the TSN promo code for a $75 prediction bonus on ProphetX. The Sporting News shares which prediction markets are best to use for the WNBA semifinals, including the best offers, picks and information about each platform.

How to trade Dream vs. Liberty on ProphetX

After Allisha Gray, Atlanta’s third leading scorer this season, went down with a hand injury in Game 1, Canada finished with the most points during the Dream’s win. The guard’s workload is typically centered around her assists and steals, but she’s no stranger to scoring when called upon. The Liberty will keep Reese and Rhyne Howard atop their priority list when it comes to containing players, and Canada’s points total that is almost half of what she scored on Sunday is a must for prediction market users.

Jones has gone north of this amount in every game this season against Atlanta, and there’s no reason to believe that won’t happen again, especially when her team needs to equalize the series on Wednesday night. Last game, she finished with 11 boards, including six in the first quarter. She’s a menace on the glass, both in terms of rebounding and blocks (five blocks in Game 1), and she’s hit this over in four of her last five games (two games against Atlanta on Sept. 21 and 23).

How to trade Aces vs. Valkyries on ProphetX

Sure, a Game 1 that finished with 131 combined across these two teams could raise some eyebrows regarding this line. Prediction market users shouldn’t dwell on this too much, however, as both teams shot below 40% from the field in an effort that likely won’t be replicated. The Aces and Valkyries’ three regular-season meetings finished with 175, 163, and 172 points combined between the two sides. There’s no doubt that Game 2 will feature more scoring, especially with Wilson and Co. not wanting to fall in a 2-0 series hole.

Wilson is well on her way to her fifth WNBA MVP award regardless of how this series finishes. A large reason why she’s established herself as the face of the league is through her stellar scoring ability. She’s led the league in scoring three seasons in a row, and she’s gone north of 30 points in this year’s postseason in literally every other game. On Sunday, she finished with “only” 24 points, which served as just over a third of her team’s point total for the game. Her team needs her, and she’s scored 28 points in two of her three regular season matchups against GSV already this year.

How ProphetX prices and fees work

ProphetX’s 2% commission is straightforward: a user only pays a fee if they walk away with a net profit on a market. If your trade loses, breaks even, or gets canceled, your fee is $0.

For example, if a user wagers $100 on a line that is marketed at 50% and wins, they’ll pay $2 on their profits. Therefore, their original $100 wager would be returned, along with $98 in profits. If that same $100 wager loses, they would only lose what they originally placed, with no commission.

  • Futures (WNBA Champion)

How to trade Dream vs. Liberty on OG.com

New York beat themselves in Game 1. They led at halftime, but their frequent turnovers (19, to be exact) were the story of the afternoon. They carried a narrow three-point lead into halftime, but did fall behind by 16 in the fourth quarter. They were able to cut the deficit to five points in the closing minutes, but the Dream survived the rattling. If the Liberty didn’t gift Atlanta 32 points off turnovers, they may have been able to steal Game 1 on the road. New York is disciplined enough to fix that problem, and they should bounce back as underdogs on Wednesday.

How to trade Aces vs. Valkyries on OG.com

Las Vegas didn’t play anywhere close to their best in Game 1. They were held to their lowest point total of the season and shot below 34% from the field. Jackie Young went 4-for-15, and that won’t keep happening. Jewell Loyd is expected to return after a leg injury halted her progress in the first half, and a full-strength Aces team (outside of NaLyssa Smith’s season-ending injury obtained on Aug. 23) is just too good to predict against.

How OG.com prices and fees work

OG.com features transaction fees on a simple flat-rate model rather than formulas or percentage cuts on profit. OG.com charges a flat trading fee of $0.02 per contract, and selling that contract early will result in another two-cent fee per share.

Users who hold their contract until the event’s completion don’t have an additional fee to pay.

Are WNBA prediction markets legal in your state?

While prediction markets are available for most U.S. states (besides Nevada, for most platforms), sports markets may not be available for all users, even in states with legal prediction markets. Users predicting in Connecticut, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and Utah may also be unable to predict on the WNBA playoffs due to pending and past legal troubles regarding state regulations.

All users should check their desired prediction market (ProphetX, OG.com, Kalshi, and Polymarket, for example) to see if the WNBA playoffs are offering predictions.
