The Los Angeles Dodgers are in the middle of going for a third consecutive World Series title. The current team standing in their way is the Atlanta Braves, who completely embarrassed them during their regular-season series.

However, the NLDS has turned out to be a different story, with the Dodgers heading into Game 4 up 2-1 in the series. A little concern arose on Tuesday night when postseason hero Miguel Rojas left the game with a back injury after fouling off a ball.

“Miguel Rojas left tonight’s game with low back pain,” the Dodgers posted.

This was a big blow, as Rojas is an important piece to the puzzle for LA. If it wasn’t for him, they wouldn’t have beaten the Toronto Blue Jays in the World Series last season. It turns out Rojas actually tweaked his back during a play he made in the field.

“Dodgers Miguel Rojas left with lower back soreness. Started when he slipped fielding a ground ball on the edge of the outfield grass in the fifth inning. Aggravated it on swing in the eighth,” Dodgers writer Bill Plunkett wrote.

With this information, things didn’t look good for the LA veteran. However, if Rojas has it his way, he will be playing when needed next. The righty made it clear that he doesn’t believe there should be any concerns about him playing in the next game.

“Miguel Rojas said he felt some tightness in his left lower back/hip area. He wasn’t concerned about his availability going forward,” The Athletic’s Fabian Ardaya wrote.

This is good news for not only the Dodgers but Rojas as well, considering this is likely going to be his last postseason ever. There is a major belief that he will be retiring at the conclusion of this season.

LA will be glad to have Rojas if he is fully healthy. The team, under any circumstances, is not going to bring the veteran back too early from an injury. However, if Rojas says he is good to go, that is what manager Dave Roberts will roll with.
