NFL fans blast referees

The NFL referees had their fare share of issues on Sunday, which came across in a few different games. In the Arizona Cardinals game against the New York Giants, an official was caught saying “f*** you” to tight end Trey McBride when McBride was arguing a call.

Additionally, in the New England Patriots win over the Buffalo Bills, Mike Vrabel was given an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for using profane language at referee Bill Vinovich.

And of course, in the Minnesota Vikings victory vs. the Miami Dolphins, referee Adrian Hill got heated at linebacker Eric Wilson after he was knocked over during a dead ball.

All of that led to fans criticizing NFL referees over the course of the afternoon as they were frustrated by the moments that went viral.

Bad calls are always a talking point in the NFL, but Sunday’s output of games included more controversial referee moments than usual. It is no surprise, then, that the fans were particularly frustrated with the officials.
