Bayern Munich’s interest in PSG’s Bradley Barcola had started quietly, but it picked up pace in recent weeks as the German club intensified its search for a left-winger.
With targets slipping through, the 22-year-old French talent shot to the top of their list.
Barcola had drawn attention for his explosive performances earlier in the last season before losing his starting role in PSG’s Champions League-winning campaign.
With Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Desire Doue thriving in the front three, Barcola’s name began surfacing in transfer rumors across Germany.
With multiple reports confirming that Bayern were exploring a move and hoping PSG might consider a deal, even if it required a hefty offer.
The Frenchman, who played the full 90 minutes in the Club World Cup round of 16 win over Inter Miami, remains a prized figure in PSG’s long-term plans.

Luis Enrique gives blunt response to PSG’s Bradley Barcola situation
Luis Enrique did not hesitate when asked about Barcola’s future. Sitting calmly in front of reporters, the PSG manager made his position clear.
“We like that our players are interesting to other clubs. But he is one of those young players we have relied on,” he said (h/t: Kerry Hau).
“He has had an outstanding season. (…) I expect him to play here for many more years, and I think he wants that too. So, I have no doubts that he will remain our player,” he added.
