  • Kyle Walker makes risky admission about former club amid uncertain Man City future

Kyle Walker’s future at Manchester City remains uncertain. Earlier this year, the defender reportedly expressed his desire to make a move away from Etihad with six months left on his contract.

Walker was then loaned to AC Milan in January for the rest of the season, with the deal including an option for a permanent transfer. However, the Serie A side decided against activating the buy clause, prompting Walker’s return to Man City, where his contract is set to expire at the end of June.

Reports have suggested that Walker will be taking his leave from Man City this summer and he has been left out of Pep Guardiola’s squad for the upcoming Club World Cup.

Walker has also been on the receiving end of criticism for his efforts on the pitch for both club and country. After falling behind in Guardiola’s pecking order in the 2024-25 season, the Englishman has now made a risky admission, one that will be appreciated by the Cityzens.

Walker arrived at the Etihad in 2017 after an eight-season tenure at Tottenham Hotspur. Now, the 35-year-old has claimed that he would have been willing to ‘give up’ one of his Premier League title wins with Man City to ensure bagging a trophy with Spurs.

What did Man City’s Kyle Walker say?

Tottenham ended their 17-year trophy draught by claiming the Europa League title this season. While speaking on the Kyle Walker Podcast, the right-back mentioned that he knows ‘what it means’ for Spurs to bag that win.

“I’d probably give up one Premier League title, not the first, to have won that Europa League with Tottenham. I know what it means. I’d probably give my second, its hard to give one away, but for what that moment meant. To be in that Spurs squad that won a trophy,” said Walker.

While he has been linked with a few clubs in the ongoing summer transfer window, it remains to be seen what’s next for Walker.
