Kelsey Plum had to keep one of the WNBA’s most astounding stats alive Saturday night in a slightly easier setup — the Indiana Fever didn’t have Caitlin Clark due to injury.
But still, Plum got the job done again, with the Los Angeles Sparks holding off the Fever.
And with the win, Plum is now 21-1 against the Fever in her WNBA career.
That’s right: Plum has played 22 games against Indiana and won 21 of them.
Of course, Clark hasn’t been around that long. Part of the reason the Fever got the right to draft her was that they were bad for a while.
Plum certainly didn’t make it any easier on them.
The superstar lefty guard is one of the best scorers in the league, and she doesn’t hold back on the Fever.
On Saturday, Plum scored 20 points and found herself in a number of physical battles with the Fever.
She obviously doesn’t like to lose to anyone, but she almost doesn’t even know what it’s like to lose to the Fever.
Indiana will probably be just fine seeing Plum head back to the west coast and not oppose them for a while, because she’s practically unbeatable for the Fever.
