Chelsea opened their Club World Cup campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win over Los Angeles FC on Monday.
Now, former Chelsea star John Obi Mikel has given his verdict on the game and praised Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson for their contributions.
However, England star Noni Madueke had a first half to forget against Los Angeles FC, and Mikel has called him out over his performance during the halftime show.
Speaking on DAZN, the Chelsea legend said, “That’s what I said before the game. We need more from Neto and Madueke. Madueke as well, I’ve been kind of frustrated with him in this first half.”
“He’s had the ball, he hasn’t gone past his man. I think the final pass has been a little bit… he needs to clean that up in his game. I think if he does that, he’ll be a fantastic player. But he doesn’t go past his man; he doesn’t create enough. I need to see him do more.”
This is not the first time that Madueke has been called out for his underwhelming performances in a Chelsea shirt.

In fact, the winger is coming off the back of an inconsistent season and had previously been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, with Italian giants Napoli expressing interest in him.
However, with Chelsea lacking wingers at the moment, Enzo Maresca will not want the club to even think about a sale.
