  • Carlos Alcaraz next match at Wimbledon 2025: TV schedule, scores, results for tennis grand slam

Carlos Alcaraz began his Wimbledon title defence with a dramatic five-set win over Italian veteran Fabio Fognini on Monday.

With the temperature soaring over 31 degree Celsius (almost 89 degree Fahrenheit), it was the hottest opening day on record at Wimbledon. But the second seed overcame the tough conditions and a carefree opponent to come through 7-5, 6-7(5), 7-5, 2-6, 6-1 in four hours and 37 minutes.

Two-time defending champion Alcaraz entered the grass-court major on a hot streak. Having recently captured the French Open, the Spaniard continued the winning run by snapping up the title at Queen’s to set the tone for his grass swing.

Alcaraz is gunning to become the first Spaniard to three titles at Wimbledon. He defeated Novak Djokovic in the final in the last two editions and is the overwhelming favorite coming into Wimbledon 2025.

Here’s everything you need to know about Carlos Alcaraz’s appearance at the Wimbledon 2025, including a television schedule, scores, and results from the Spaniard’s matches at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.

When is Carlos Alcaraz’s next match at Wimbledon 2025?

Having survived a scare against the Italian maverick, Alcaraz will hope for smoother sailing in the next few rounds. The Spaniard has set up a second-round clash against British qualifier Oliver Tarvet.

Ranked 733 in the world, Tarvet won three rounds of qualifying to make his Wimbledon main draw debut on Monday. He defeated Switzerland’s Leandro Riedi 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to continue the dream run.
