  • Bucks mock trade swaps Kyle Kuzma for potential Giannis Antetokounmpo co-star

The Milwaukee Bucks have some issues to fix this offseason, but one move could solve multiple problems.

Since losing in the first round for the third straight year, the Bucks have spent their offseason dealing with waves of rumors about Giannis Antetokounmpo. The superstar has given no indication that he wants out, and the team seems perfectly fine finding ways to build around him over the next few years.

Of course, building around him could be one of the toughest things in the league. After falling from the ranks of title contention in recent years, the Bucks have to find some ways to improve around the edges.

While the star pairing of Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard hasn’t worked out just yet, there is a chance that the right supporting cast could take them over the top. One of the pieces of that potential supporting cast could come from the Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets have held onto Cam Johnson up to this point, but their expected return for him might not be coming. So, there could be an opportunity for the Bucks to swoop in and take him.

While the Bucks were the league’s top shooting team, adding Johnson could help Milwaukee build on its strengths. In ESPN’s recent mock, Zach Kram suggested the Bucks swap Kuzma for Johnson and attach a 2031 first-round pick and a 2032 swap to make it happen.

While the draft capital might be steeper than Milwaukee would like, the deal could land a perfect co-star on the wing next to Antetokounmpo while Lillard recovers.
