All the Gordon Murray-designed cars to appear at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed

The 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed is not only celebrating 75 years of Formula 1, but also 60 years of Gordon Murray’s historic car designs.

As part of the celebrations, 17 of Murray’s cars will be displayed, including the infamous 1978 Brabham BT46B ‘Fan Car’, the 1988 McLaren MP4/4 – which secured both the drivers’ and constructors’ titles – and the 2024 GMA T.50s Niki Lauda XP1 track-only supercar.

“I can barely believe it’s been 60 years I’ve been designing and engineering race and road cars,” Professor Murray commented on the upcoming milestone. “I can’t wait to reminisce with the thousands of fans at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Gordon Murray Special Vehicles double debut that follows just a month later will offer customers old and new even more ways to be part of our celebration of cars and driving.”

The prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed is scheduled for 10-13 July, and will feature several current F1 drivers alongside a number of legends of the sport’s long history. Four-time champion Alain Prost will be one of those attending, alongside fellow icons Sir Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Jacques Villeneuve, and Mika Hakkinen.

Current F1 drivers set to make an appearance include Haas’ Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman.
