Peacock is much more than just the home for popular TV shows like “The Office,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” It has become one of the biggest streaming services for sports fans.

“Sunday Night Football,” which features some of the NFL’s most exciting matchups, is available to watch on Peacock, but that is just the headliner. Peacock also regularly covers college basketball and football games, Premier League matches, golf tournaments and major WWE events. And starting with the 2025-26 season, Peacock will have a full slate of NBA games.

If you’re a college student looking to purchase a subscription without breaking the bank, we have great news for you. Peacock is currently offering a special price that will give you access to a massive library of streaming content.

Here is what you need to know in order to get the Peacock student discount.

How to get the Peacock student discount

You are eligible for the Peacock student discount if you are 18 years of age or older, a student enrolled in an undergraduate or advanced degree program at a Title IV-accredited college or university in the United States and reside in the U.S. You will also need to provide a valid form of payment in order to receive the discount.

In order to verify your status, you will be required to share your student information with SheerID. After your information has been processed, you will receive a promo code that can only be used once. You can then redeem the promo code by creating a new Peacock account or adding the code to an existing account under the “Plans & Payments” page.

The Peacock student discount reduces the price of a Premium subscription from $10.99 per month to $2.99 per month for 12 months.

How much is Peacock?

If you’re not eligible for a student discount, you can still purchase a Premium or Premium Plus subscription in order to access Peacock content.

A Premium plan gives subscribers the ability to stream movies, TV shows and live sports. A Premium Plus plan gives subscribers everything included in a Premium plan and offers an ad-free experience.
