The Dallas Cowboys may have an overlooked weapon ready to make a fantasy impact this season. On Sunday, CBS Sports’ Ryan Wooden shared SportsLine’s NFL projection model that has identified Cowboys wide receiver Jalen Tolbert as a potential sleeper pick who could deliver well above expectations.

“The 26-year-old receiver was on his way toward being a Fantasy football breakout last year before Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending hamstring injury,” Wooden wrote. “Tolbert had at least 40 yards in five of his eight games with Prescott, including two games with more than 80 yards, and he scored three touchdowns over that stretch.”

Fantasy football managers could see a strong 2025 campaign from Tolbert, even with increased competition for the Cowboys’ WR2 role. The arrival of George Pickens adds intrigue to the position battle, as the former Steelers WR will be a popular pick in many fantasy drafts. However, Tolbert remains an alternative worth considering.

Wooden noted: “CeeDee Lamb will be the focus of every defensive coordinator against Dallas, drawing multiple double coverages and leaving opportunities for others, such as Tolbert.”

If Tolbert carves out a steady role alongside Lamb and Pickens, he could reward patient managers when bye weeks and injuries start to hit.

He may not hear his name called in most standard fantasy drafts, but Tolbert is a name to keep in mind, especially if Prescott remains healthy.
