The path to the College Baseball World Series national championship just got a little easier for Coastal Carolina and Oregon State after their first-round wins.
Coastal Carolina broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the eighth against Arizona with an RBI single from Sebastian Alexander, followed by a two-run RBI double from Blake Barthol to give the Chanticleers the 7-4 win.
Oregon State staved off a comeback from Louisville with an RBI double from Gavin Turley to win a tight 4-3 contest.
The two sides now face off to draw one step closer to the finals at the end of June.
