Manchester United hope to finish their U.S. tour on a high note as they meet Everton in the finale of their Premier League Summer Series slate.

The Red Devils have enjoyed a massively promising summer jaunt through the United States, as they’ve looked impressive in wins against West Ham and Bournemouth.

The club’s stars have shone so far through the preseason fixtures, giving fans hope for a revival campaign on the horizon. Bruno Fernandes was the star of the win over the Hammers to start the tour, scoring both goals in a 2-1 win, while Rasmus Hojlund, Patrick Dorgu, and Amad Diallo all found the net against the Cherries days ago.

Everton, meanwhile, have lost both their summer friendlies against Premier League opposition, and were even beaten by Blackburn before the trip began, as the Toffees flounder their way to the start of the coming campaign.

Man United vs. Everton lineups, team news

The main question for United is whether Bryan Mbeumo will make his first appearance, either from the start or off the bench. Amorim had been cautious with the forward as his protracted transfer to the club meant he was a little behind his new teammates in terms of fitness levels, but the coach said Mbeumo was in line to start the match.

The injury picture for the Red Devils remains the same. Lisandro Martinez won’t be back until later in the year, while Andre Onana and Noussair Mazraoui are still recovering from hamstring issues. Joshua Zirkzee has what he described as a “minor” injury, and he is targeting a return in time for the start of the season. Harry Maguire went off as a precaution against Bournemouth and will probably not be risked from the start here.

Amorim will likely go with a strong side from the outset, but expect more minutes for Diego Leon, Tyler Fredricson and Ethan Williams, who scored against Bournemouth.
