Brooke Hogan reveals what she would like to pursue following the death of her father, Hulk Hogan. The WWE legend died last week from cardiac arrest, according to multiple outlets.

According to TMZ, Brooke is interested in pursuing a career in music and has reconnected with her ex-boyfriend Yannique Barker, who’s a record producer. Barker is also the son of the SoBe Entertainment founder, Cecile D. Barker. Brooke was previously an artist on the label.

The outlet reports that Brooke has resigned to SoBe and has an album of songs already recorded. Recently, her song About Us” has gone viral on TikTok.

Brooke shared that her late father loved supporting her music career and would come to the studio to watch her record. The new mom of two — she welcomed twins with her husband Steven Oleksy in January — says her father would be proud that she has found music again.

She is set to release new music this year once Yannique is done producing her recorded tracks, the outlet reports.

Brooke Hogan breaks silence on Hulk Hogan’s death

In a lengthy message on Instagram, Brooke paid tribute to her father. The two were estranged at the time of his death, but Brooke shared her love and compassion for him.

“When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him. I felt it before the news even reached us,” Brooke wrote earlier this week. “… I know he’s at peace now, out of pain, and in a place as beautiful as he imagined. He used to speak about this moment with such wonder and hope. Like meeting God was the greatest championship he’d ever have.”

The two hadn’t spoken in two years prior to his death, but it wasn’t just one “fight” that stopped the communication, but a series of conversations where they weren’t aligning.

“It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand,” she said. “My father was confiding in me about issues weighing on his heart, both personal and business. I offered to be a life raft in whatever capacity he needed. I told him he had my support. I begged him to rest, to take care of himself.”

Hulk was a professional wrestler for 35 years and had several surgeries in which Brooke would accompany him until he no longer wanted her there.

“We had been through almost 25 surgeries together, and then all of a sudden he didn’t want me at surgeries…everything started getting covered in a thick veil. It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn’t get through.”

“He was telling me these things, being so vulnerable with me and heard my pleas, then suddenly something shifted, and he made a choice to walk the path that clearly tore at his spirit,” she continued. “I felt a disconnect. What followed were respectful disagreements that took an emotional toll on me.”

She eventually chose to disconnect from her father in order to not go through emotional turmoil.

“During the last two years, I had to step away to protect my heart,” she said.

She gave herself some grace during this hard time as she believes while her father was still alive she tried her best.

“I know in my heart I did everything I could,” Brooke said. “He knew I would run through a burning building for him. And in many ways, along the path of life, I did. He knows how deeply, how hard and how purely I loved him. I am at peace knowing this.”
