On Day 2 of training camp, Cleveland Browns General Manager Andrew Berry was available to the media, so there were fast and furious updates from Mary Kay Cabot on X on various topics.

It comes as no shock that he was pressed multiple times on the team’s quarterback situation and the takeaway was that everyone was going to get a shot, and he didn’t even rule out Deshaun Watson returning at some point in the season, saying he’s “day to day”.

During his interaction with the media Berry also took it as an opportunity to share his displeasure with the speeding tickets by Shedeur Sanders saying, “It’s not smart. It’s dangerous.”

On the same topic Berry’s response to the question on if there was a chance the team would carry four quarterbacks, his answer was, “I do”.  Most general managers keep roster details close to the vest, but Berry has always answered questions in a way that really doesn’t give you any clarity.

But the fact that Berry shared there is a chance the Watson could return, and we could see four quarterbacks on the first roster of the season, means he’s willing to grasp for straws for a long-term quarterback.  We know Joe Flacco will give you consistent play with some turnovers, but Kenny Pickett, Dillion Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders appear poised to get their shot.
