The Milwaukee Bucks are cutting yet another point guard from their 2025-26 roster.
Per Eric Nehm of The Athletic, the Bucks are negotiating a buyout with newly-acquired point guard Vasilije Micić. Milwaukee initially traded former 2021 champion shooting guard Pat Connaughton, now out of head coach Doc Rivers’ rotation, plus second round picks in 2031 and 2032 to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Micić.
The 6-foot-5 vet will surrender $6.1 million from his $8 million contract in his buyout, and thus the Bucks’ cap hit will become a scant $2 million.
The Milwaukee Bucks waived Damian Lillard and Vasilije Micić today.
Micić gave back $6.1M in a buyout with the Bucks, a league source says. His cap hit will shrink from $8.1M to $2M and Micić will be able to pursue other opportunities.
