The New York Giants have a new head coach in John Harbaugh, and this team is No. 1 in the NFC East after being at the bottom of the division just last season.

That’s quite a big change, but Harbaugh may not be done shaping this team. On Monday, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio stated that he believes Harbaugh could hit up his former franchise to possibly trade for a familiar face: Ravens running back Derrick Henry.

“Whether the Ravens would trade Henry depends on whether they plan to keep him beyond this season,” Florio states. “If they’d cut him before a $1M roster bonus comes due in March, they wouldn’t get a compensatory draft pick. The only way to get value for his contract would be to trade it.”

John Harbaugh talks about working with the Baltimore Ravens on a potential trade

Speaking with reporters this week, Harbaugh opened up about the idea of making a trade with the Ravens. He said it could actually be easier than doing it with another team.

“I don’t know the answer to that because I think in some ways it makes it easier because it’s an easy call to friends, and I think that’s part of it around the league,” Harbaugh said, according to the Giants’ official website. “I mean, it’s a small world, so people call people. …We’re going to do the most we can possibly do to try to get some things done. It’s hard to get deals done. It’s hard.”

Harbaugh added, “You can see how hard it is, but we’re going to do our best and what’s for our team. And the best thing we can do, the main thing we’re going to do is focus on our guys and get ready to play the game. But all that other stuff is definitely going on behind the scenes at all times.”

The Giants have some time off until their next game, which is Nov. 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
