Megan Moroney might have just confirmed her romance with Christian Pulisic.
The country singer and USMNT star has been fueling dating rumors for a few months, and during the Time100 Gala on Thursday, Oct. 29, in New York City, she seemingly nodded to their romance. Moroney met up with Eiza González, who is dating tennis player Grigor Dimitrov at the event.
During a conversation with People, González joked to Moroney, “We’re the new generation of WAGs.”
While Moroney’s expression was unknown after González’s comment, it seemingly points to possible inner-circle knowledge about the alleged romance. The outlet also claims that the two “were heard chatting about their boyfriends.”
This incident follows an eagle-eyed fan who zoomed in on Moroney’s phone’s lock screen earlier this month when she was leaving the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Sunday, Oct. 18. Her phone’s lock screen seemingly had a photo of her and the soccer player hugging one another. Moroney performed alongside Megan Thee Stallion, KATSEYE, and Tate McRae during the show.

Another clue into their potential romance is when fans were paying close attention to the singer’s trip to Italy. She shared a recap of her trip on Instagram and captioned the post, “Italy is so fun I wonder what the boots is doing!”
A fan account noticed that the singer was wearing a shirt that Pulisic has also been photographed in. Pulisic also plays for A.C. Milan, but it’s unclear if he was there at the time of Moroney’s vacation.
The rumored couple also had a couple of sightings over the summer. The soccer player was seen out in Nashville with Moroney in July, per Whiskey Riff, and he also took his cousin to her Cloud 9 concert in Miami, according to an Instagram photo from a fan account.
The country singer has since shared that she is not dating anyone at the moment.
“It’s really nice that this is one of the first tours I’ve been on where I’m not dating anyone, so I literally have no distractions,” she said back in July to Cosmopolitan. “And that sounds really silly, but there have been a lot of big moments and fun times that have been ruined by a guy for me. It’s nice to just have a clear head.”
Pulisic, on the other hand, recently had a breakup with golfer Alexa Melton in May. The two went public with their relationship in 2024.
So far, Pulisic and Moroney have not spoken out about the dating rumor. The country singer also has yet to address González’s comment.
