Both the Cowboys and Eagles are hoping to turn their luck around on Monday night, but one is going to leave Lincoln Financial Field with a losing streak still intact.
Philadelphia is still reeling from the news that QB Jalen Hurts won’t return this season as he undergoes treatment for blood clots in his lungs. Fortunately for the Eagles, the NFC East is wide open and Saquon Barkley is on the way back from an injury of his own.
The Cowboys haven’t been snake-bitten by injuries as much as they have been snake-bitten by their own poor execution. With defensive struggles to start the season and the offense struggling to match last season’s production, there is pressure on coach Brian Schottenheimer to get the ship turned around.
The winner of Monday night’s contest will be well-positioned in a weak NFC East. The loser, however, will have to dig out of a 2-5 hole.
